I wrote an animation app for Euclid Book 1. It creates animations using a language that describes a given proposition. For example, here is the script for creating Proposition 1:

Pocket Edition of Book 1:  This book was inspired by the story that Abraham Lincoln used to carry a copy of Euclid's Elements everywhere he went. This pocket edition is a 4 in. by 6 in. booklet that fits in your top pocket. The text has been retypeset and the diagrams redrawn. InCircle Geometry App

I have written a new geometry application that will be released shortly. The video above was created with this tool and demonstrates Book IV, Proposition 4: inscribing a circle within an arbitrary triangle. Although the application includes several useful geometric tools, the above was constructed using only a straightedge and compass, in the spirit of Euclidean geometry. 

The figure below shows the final state of the construction. All the circles except one are for the construction. The three circles at the vertices A and B are to bisect the angles at A and B, respectively. The two largest circles are used to form the perpendicular line from the center of the triangle to the segment AB.
